What is Colon Hydro-Therapy (a Colenz®)?
Colon Hydro-Therapy is an internal cleansing which gently removes waste from the large intestine. Triple-filtered water is introduced into the colon by means of a disposable, sanitized, lubricated nozzle. The introduction of water gently stimulates the colon's natural peristaltic action to release waste. Colonic Irrigation takes place as a steady stream of water flows continuously into the colon through a small nozzle. Waste is simultaneously able to exit the colon around the nozzle.

How might water in the colon – a professional enema - benefit me?
The removal of stagnant waste from the intestines may help enhance colon functions and enable the entire body to function more efficiently. A Colenz® may hydrate, tone and cleanse the colon which may in turn assist peristalsis and the absorption of nutrients into the body. As a result, people may experience a relief of many symptoms such as constipation, gas, lethargy, and possibly even lower back pain. Additionally, they may report an increase in energy and general health.

Will my modesty/dignity remain intact?
Yes, the client self-inserts the nozzle and calls the Certified Colon Hydro-Therapist back into the room when ready. The client is modestly covered at all times.

Does it hurt?
Colon hydro-therapy is generally relaxing. Clients are frequently amazed at how comfortable and relaxing their experience is. Occasionally, clients may feel some discomfort from gas that is being dislodged; however the ultimate result is great relief.

What about odor?
Clients do not sense an odor during their session. While the Colenz® is an open release system, a fan is in use which prevents a release of offense odor. Additionally, we use air purification systems and aromatherapy which all help make for a pleasant experience.

Why FIR (Far Infrared) Sauna as opposed to other types?
The Far Infrared Sauna stimulates the body at the cellular level, the heat penetrating to the bone and prompting the body to sweat. The client sits inside the sauna capsule, with the head extending above the heat. Metabolism is increased (while we don’t “claim” this as a weight loss method, many use the FIR sauna to assist in this goal and find it very beneficial). The heat of the sauna helps stimulate the lymphatic system, encouraging natural waste release through sweating. Most people feel energized and rejuvenated after sitting in the sauna.

What should I wear to use the Sauna?
Clients receive a gown to wear as they get in and out of the sauna. Once inside the sauna, a client relaxes on a clean towel, and may opt to remove the gown. The client will be given towels to wash well after the sauna, but it is recommended a shower be taken as soon as possible when finished.

What is an Ion-Energy Foot Spa?
The Ion-Energy Foot Spa is a chance for the client to relax in an aromatherapy foot bath. Bio-Electric Stimulating Techniques release energy into the client’s feet, stimulating the body at the cellular level. As the body receives energy, it may be enabled to do what it should naturally do…release toxins and absorb nutrients. Your body is electric and each organ operates at different frequencies. Our Ion-Energy Detox Foot Bath operates at frequencies that are in tune with your body. It releases negative ions into the body. This may energize the organs.

What is the Infrared Bio-Mat?
This is wonderful for anyone who is looking to de-stress. The client may relax on the mat for 30, 60 or 90+ minutes. This can be done alone or during a rejuvenating facial. Either way, clients comment on how calm they feel when they finish. It isn’t surprising when others experience release from pain.

Why Amethyst Crystals?
Rather than ceramic, the Infrared BioMat uses Amethyst as a natural conductor of the Infrared heat. Amethyst Crystal has long been used to help bolster the production of hormones and to cleanse the blood. Some say memory is improved through the use of the crystals. Tiny crystals are in the well padded mat – which is very comfortable to lie on.

What do negative ions do?
Negative Ions are odorless, invisible and have no taste. You inhale them whenever you’re near the ocean. When they reach the blood stream they can increase Serotonin levels which may result in greater sleep and have a positive effect on health. Toxins in the body are positively charged and may be “pulled” out by the negative ions.

What about your facials?
Our licensed esthetician will assess your skin care needs and customize the facial to suit you. Many of our clients are here because they are trying to “cleanse” or “detox” their body. This can often mean toxins will exit through the facial skin. We’re here to help you look and feel beautiful.

What about the Paraffin Detox Hands and Feet?
Our esthetician will gently scrub your hands and/or feet and then place them in a warm “mitten” filled with red rock paraffin. You can have this service done alone or in combination with energy foot spa or facials. Your hands/feet will be gently detoxed and will emerge softer than you have every experienced!
